Meet The Team
David Lowish
Prior to Resolution David co-founded Atlas Impact Partners, a long/short impact led equity strategy with peak assets of $270m. Previously David spent eleven years as a Partner at Generation Investment Management LLP, where he also served as Co-Head of the Industrials Team for the Global Equity Fund as well the Co-Portfolio Manager and Investment Committee member of The Climate Solutions Fund.
Previously David was at Goldman Sachs Asset Management for eight years and was responsible for co-management of the GS European and International Small Cap Strategy, as well as research of industrial, energy, consumer, and real estate stocks in the small and mid-cap space.
David has been a leader in the greentech sector for decades, having served as a Director of GreenRoad Technologies, Inc. and as an observer for Proterra. David was awarded a Diploma from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris in Economics and International Relations and graduated from Trinity College Cambridge with a first-class degree in Modern Languages. He also serves on the Foundation Council for Cambridge University Boat Club.
Andrew Mobbs
Andrew has a long experience of quality sustainable equity investing. He started his career at Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander, before working as an equity analyst at Redburn Partners for six years. Most recently Andrew was a partner at Generation Investment Management, where he worked as an analyst for nine years, and headed the Consumer team's coverage on GIM's Global Equity Fund.
Andrew's focus on climate sprung from his childhood and mother, who, as a geographer and geologist, has been teaching of the global consequences of excess fossil fuel usage for decades.
Andrew read Literae Humaniores at Merton College, Oxford. He currently serves on the board of Eastside Young Leaders' Academy, a London based charity focused on education and equality of opportunities for young Black and minority people.
Akhil Monappa
Akhil has a deep background in technology and sustainability investing. Most recently he was a Partner at Generation Investment Management where he worked as an analyst for 6 years leading investments in global technology companies in the Internet, Software, Semiconductors, and Cyber security spaces and advising company boards and management on matters of strategy, capital allocation, sustainability and governance.
Prior to that he was at Atlas Venture in London where he invested in early stage technology companies in the semiconductors, cleantech, and software spaces providing both board level and operational expertise. Early in his career, he was an operating executive at C-Bridge Internet Solutions in Cambridge, USA where he was responsible for go to market partnerships with some of the world’s leading technology companies, as well as holding various pre-sales and technical roles.
Akhil has a MBA and MPA-ID from Harvard University in Cambridge, USA and a Bachelors in Science in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech, Atlanta, USA. He currently sits on the boards of Zydus Lifesciences-a leading generic pharma manufacturer and Zydus Wellness-a leading consumer wellness brands company both based in India
Guy Joseph
Prior to joining Resolution, Guy was the portfolio manager for a USD 400m long/short equity portfolio at Lighthouse Partners.
Guy has seventeen years of buy-side experience, having worked as an investment analyst at Lehman Brothers and Nomura International, a junior portfolio manager at Millennium Capital Management and as a senior portfolio manager at Nomura International Principal Strategies.
He has spent the majority of his career investing in developed market equities, and has experience in a broad range of asset classes and their derivatives.
Guy holds a Master of Physics degree from the University of Oxford, where he studied at Balliol College.
Rob Brown
Prior to Resolution Rob co-founded Atlas Impact Partners. He is also a Sorenson Impact Institute Senior Fellow at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah, and Chief Research Officer of the Impact Evaluation Lab.
Previously Rob was Head of Research at JUST Capital, where he led the team which developed the ranking of America’s Most JUST Companies. Rob was Senior Portfolio Manager for AllianceBernstein Equity Strategies and Head of Equity Research for Nomura Securities International. Earlier, he worked at Morgan Stanley where he was last responsible for the Global Macro Research team, including the #1 ranked Global Economics effort. Rob started his career as an economist at Bankers Trust.
He is a thought leader in the impact investing field, and is published frequently as a Contributing Editor at ImpactAlpha, and as a contributor to Forbes Magazine. He lectures on issues of impact measurement, metrics and data standards at Columbia University Business School and the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Rob serves as an Executive Board member of the READ Foundation, New York City’s leading early childhood literacy program, and as a member of the Advisory Board of The Brandeis University International Business School. He is an advisor to the Michael Price Investment Fund at The Stern School of Business at NYU, and a former member of the investment committee for the endowment at Brandeis University.
He earned a BA, cum laude, in Economics and an MA in International Economics from Brandeis, with joint course work in econometrics at the Center for Operations Research and Econometrics at Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium.
Phill Harris
Prior to joining Resolution, Phill was a partner at Generation Investment Management where he spent eighteen years building out Generation's operating platform across both public and private market investment strategies.
As Head of Control Phill was responsible for Operations, Middle Office, Investment Compliance and Client Servicing. During his time at Generation Phill served as a member of the firm's Operating Committee which was responsible for the day to day running of the firm and was a trustee for the Generation Foundation.
Prior to his time at Generation Phill spent six years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management where he covered various operational roles, including managing the account implementation and transition process for operations.
Phill has a BA (Hons) from Leicester University in Geography.
